About Us

Buie has been having fun Making Dirt Look Good since 1982. Her stoneware pieces are extremely durable and designed to be used and enjoyed everyday. Each piece is dishwasher, microwave and oven safe. When using the baking dishes, please put in a cold oven.

Buie began throwing pottery at age 17 and has been having fun "slinging mud" ever since. She attended the University of Tennessee where she graduated with a Bachelor of Fine Arts with honors in 1986. She started her own business and gallery in September of 1986. Throughout the years, she has been president of the historic Great Smoky Arts & Crafts Community (the United States' largest concentration of artisans and crafts-people since 1941), a member of the Gatlinburg Chamber of Commerce, and has served on various committees and councils for her city & community.
